Exploring the medium of watercolour to convey a botanical dreamscape, Lily Jane showcases the ephemeral beauty of flowers. Hand-painted for Liberty in 1973, the original artwork was painstakingly retraced as a digital print, to capture nuanced variations in tonality with the soft quality of watercolour perfectly matching the velvety texture of wallflower petals. This print is part of the Floral Wonderland narrative of the AW24 collection, which celebrates a world of never-before-seen species and hybrid varieties created from the Designer’s imagination – a real carnival of nature.
