The Garment industry was once New York’s largest employer. In 1960, 95% of clothing sold in America was made domestically. Today, that figure is down to just 5%. Even so, New York City is still the Fashion Capital of the World, and the Garment Center continues to make this possible. We all can help – A USA made garment not only lasts longer but helps provide jobs, livelihoods and furthers the American tradition of industry and inventiveness.
The simple peasant blouse has always been my favorite. This became the inspiration for our Women's Forest & Field dress. Sexy and pretty, loose fitting and easy. Well-made and adaptable, it's the perfect go-to garment for Summer - dressed up or down. Made of finely woven tana lawn by liberty of london. We love the way it falls, the way it wears and how it ages - you will too!
